So, how does it work?

Step 1

A friendly Geek Rescue Technician comes to your home/business or can use remote access to install and configure the CrashPlan software.

Step 2

The Geek Rescue Backup software encrypts and sends your copied files over the Internet to our secure database.

Step 3

If your computer ever loses data, you can simply download your backup files. Alternatively, a friendly Geek Rescue Technician can replace the data as part of a normal service call.

Nice. But how much does it cost?

Thought you might ask that. Here's the breakdown:

  • $29.95 per month for 100 gigabytes of data, then $1 per additional gigabyte (a gigabyte is
approximately 500 pictures from your digital camera, or 100 QuickBooks files).
  • There are no contracts. Geek Rescue Backup is on a month-to-month basis. You may pay
using a credit card, and can cancel anytime.
